present perfect

This tense is constructed by using the present tense of the auxiliary verb "haber" and the past participle. The present perfect tense expresses an action that occurred in the past but that is related to the present. Usually the present tense is used to describe types of circumstances, especially when the sentence tells how long the action has been occurring.
